About the artist
Creating has always been a defining part of my life, a way to channel energy and give shape to what cannot be said. My creative journey has taken me from photography to graphic as well as fashion design; for six years I devoted myself to the brand I co-founded, designing silk scarves that have been featured in Vogue, New York Magazine and other international publications. In recent years, my work has led me back to where it all began, to painting.
My work find their roots in the natural world and photographs I have taken over the years; fragments of light, colors, and memories gathered across continents.
My painting process is a harmonized collaboration between a disciplined technique and intuition. Creating a story and making a vision come to life upon multiple layers of color as well as simply taking in the final piece generates a register of emotions; fulfillment, fascination or pure harmony. My hope is that this translates to the viewer as well.
