My story
Creating has always been a defining part of my life, a way to channel energy and give shape to what cannot be said. My creative journey has taken me from photography to graphic as well as fashion design; for six years I devoted myself to the brand I co-founded, designing silk scarves that have been featured in Vogue, New York Magazine and other international publications. In recent years, my work has led me back to where it all began - to painting.
My painting process is a harmonized collaboration between a disciplined technique and intuition. Creating a story and making a vision come to life upon multiple layers of color as well as simply taking in the final piece generates a register of emotions - fulfillment, fascination or pure harmony. My hope is that this translates to the viewer as well.
The inspiration
My work find their roots in the natural world and photographs I have taken over the years - fragments of light, colors, and memories gathered across continents.
In painting, I seek not to replicate the view, but to distill what remained with me; the rhythm of a horizon, the silence of a valley, the movement of wind or sea.
